Working sheep dogs. When they feel like it! (reluctantly sitting still)
My Meggie
I shouted them back to me. And they actually came running! Might try that one on the Farmer....
Meggie found a large stone and impersonated David Beckham. If only she had his money...!
Gorgeous sunny day and a great view over the fields.
Farm road, dry and frosty. It was quite slippery in parts, too.
Thought I'd put this one in. The Farmer took it. Pecking his nuts in the feeder.
p.s. I have published a new post on my paranormal blog, Marvellous Mable. The very talented Cally Taylor (who wrote Heaven Can Wait) kindly sent me a few of her own experiences. So pop over and have a read.
Wow! Fantastic! I must take Freida up the lane too - she'll be looking here and getting jealous. Yes we heard there was some sunshine lurking about - sadly not here just yet Still dull and murky.
ReplyDeleteIt's just as well I looked at the photo before I read the caption about The Farmer pecking his nuts. Now that would be a prize photo!!
ReplyDeleteMay well take you up on the offer of a cuppa if we are heading your way on our Newcastle trips. Thank you xx
Oh your dogs are gorgeous! Looks they had a lovely walk!
ReplyDeleteDogs are beautiful, aren't we! You've got a delightful pack. And they have the right attitude — work when you fell like it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful place to run. Not at all like our city streets and parks, piled up with snow. Wish I were there.
Me too...wish I were there. Was 0 degrees F when I got out of bed this morning. Will be getting colder then snow again on Tuesday. Those doggies are wonderful. And the scenery --- soooo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are beautiful. That first picture of them is gorgeous!
ReplyDelete*sigh* I sooo want a collie dog...! But the bank manager says no. :-(
ReplyDeleteLove the dogs! They look just like our Border Collie, Ruby.
ReplyDeleteAlso...beautiful countryside!
What cute dogs! Always nice to enjoy the sunshine when it is out.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the dogs bounding down the road back to you! And the view - HEAVEN! That's exactly my kind of place. :-D

Yup we've had some beautiful crisp sunny days here in Northants too. They are my favourite kind of days and the countryside looks amazing. Not sure if you whistled to your farmer he'd come back quite as well as the dogs did. They have slective hearing men, oh, come to think of it so do dogs!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thanks so much for the follow, following you back! Nice blog and I love the puppies! The scenery is gorgeous where you live! Have a great day!

MOB - How the devil are you? Haven't seen you for ages!! You're so right about men having selective hearing. If I said, would you like sex, darling? he would hear. If I said, can you clean the toilet, darling? I am pretty sure he wouldn't!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, CJ xx

Jean - yes, as far as I know, it's greater spotted woodpecker, but someone who knows more about birds might be able to confirm that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, CJ xx

Wonderful photos! Did you try that on the Farmer yet?
ReplyDeleteAnn - He was particularly amorous this afternoon, but I didn't shout him to come to me. I think he's going through a funny age!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments, CJ xx
♥ Aw your dogs are absolutely gorgeous! All of them! Such beauties! We got a dog a month ago, a 3 yr old... she doesn't know any commands so she's a real challenge currently but we adore her! Beautiful photographs :) My 12 yr old little boy has Autism too! We got the doggy to try and help him as he doesn't have any friends and it's wonderful... she's so soft with him :) I hope your gorgeous little girl gets lots of pleasure from your dogs too :) xxxx
